Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.

We are currently seeking a Full‑Time Student Success Coordinator for our Modesto, CA Campus of Gurnick Academy. This is a ground position working at our Modesto Campus.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.00‑$22.00

Basic Function

The Student Success Coordinator (SSC) serves as the primary point of contact for student engagement, inquiries or concerns, and general support needs. In collaboration with campus and program leadership, the SSC helps ensure that live student records, such as grading and attendance information, are accurately and timely entered into the institution’s student information system. Additionally, the SSC works closely with the campus registrar to ensure the compliance of all student records.

In this capacity, the SSC is responsible for maintaining current and accurate electronic student files, with routine weekly updates. Additional core responsibilities include coordinating the Student Governance Program meetings, planning and supporting student life and engagement activities, coordinating the commencement committee, and providing ongoing foundational support to students throughout their educational experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Student Engagement
  • Ensure student information in GEGI is reflected correctly according to official documents at the start of the program
  • Prepare new students by providing orientation information and ensuring students are set up appropriately
  • Organize drug screening, background checks, and immunization platform accounts, and Livescan fingerprinting
  • Process student name or address changes, and coordinate information with other campus departments
  • Provide an initial point of contact for student concerns so that they may be directed to follow the appropriate grievance policy
Student Life
  • Coordinate all campus student life activities (ie. theme days, commencement ceremonies, etc.)
  • Help guide students to the correct resources needed (e.g. LIRN library, student resources list)
  • Coordinate the Student Governance Program information, applications, and monthly meetings
  • Coordinating the campus commencement committee and annual planning of ceremonies Program Support
  • Tracking student attendance and the satisfactory rate of progress
  • Review and ensure grades are finalized after the end of each course/module/term/semester
  • Coordinate regular immunization compliance reports to the applicable programs until deadline set for cohort
  • Ensure student physical books are distributed as needed
  • Review daily attendance tracking to ensure students are not at risk for attendance violation(s)
  • Track students in remediation to ensure the remediation policy is followed and the necessary documentation is completed
  • Coordinate the final checkoff of graduation requirements, including finalization of all grades, completion of required hours and competencies, and non‑academic graduation requirements
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed, including preparation for and correction of files
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school – or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years Administrative and organizational support preferred
  • Be responsible, enthusiastic, reliable, organized and personable
  • Able to work independently as well as part of the campus administrative team
  • Dedication to supporting and assisting students in an academic environment
