provides large and small group instruction in all subjects in regular teacher's absence; develops classroom lesson plans or follows lesson plans provided by teacher in his/her absence; maintains standard pupil behavior; maintains suitable class control and provides an orderly learning environment; performs other related duties as assigned by the school principal.

* scoe substitute teacher application.
* copy of valid, california teaching credential or california 30-day substitute teaching permit, teaching permit for statutory leave (tpsl), or tcc issued by scoe.
* effective january 1, 2025 ab 2534 district employment history required. (this portion of the application is required for current & previous lea employment including substitute teaching).

* enter your social security number & your date of birth
* click on "document number" of your current certification
* right click "print"
* be sure all details of your certification are visible
* reduce if necessary
* save as pdf and attach to your application. Cut & paste copies are not acceptable. Review your application & attachment carefully before submitting

please note: due to calpers and calstrs current guidelines, recent retirees must meet certain requirements prior to becoming a substitute for scoe. Special note: references are current and former supervisors, they will be contacted. References from coworkers, friends and family will not be accepted.
