Part Time Faculty office Hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour.

• Not Eligible for Benefits:
  With the exception of Workers' Compensation coverage, not eligible to participate in the District's benefit programs.

The successful candidate will join a department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared toward student equity and applied agricultural learning. Faculty within the School of Agriculture collaborate across seven program areas to provide dynamic and interdisciplinary opportunities for students.(

Note:

The seven programs include Animal Science, Plant Science, Environmental Horticulture, Agricultural Mechanics, Agribusiness, Environmental Science/Natural Resources, and Dairy Science.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science).

• Mobility
  : ability to sit or stand for long periods, move about office, classroom, laboratory, and farm environments, and reach above and below desk or equipment level.

  : fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle papers, tools, or agricultural instruments, and write and take notes.

  : occasional lifting of papers, tools, field equipment, or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

  : close and distance vision sufficient to read files, documents, computer screens, and observe field and lab activities; ability to adjust focus frequently.

  : ability to hear normal speech, speak and hear on the telephone, and communicate in person in indoor and outdoor environments.

  : ability to make decisions, manage farm/lab safety, concentrate, and meet deadlines while maintaining frequent contact with students, colleagues, and community members.
