Service Leadership & Manpower Management
- Oversee daily manpower assignments for HVAC service technicians.
- Coordinate and manage technician scheduling to ensure timely response to service calls.
- Assist dispatch with prioritizing workload and ensuring efficient workflow across the service department.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HVAC service technicians.
- Provide guidance on troubleshooting, repair strategies, and best practices.
- Address complex technical questions in real time to support successful field execution.
- Evaluate service reports and diagnostics to prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
- Estimate labor, materials, and equipment required for repair work.
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing and maintain cost accuracy.
- Ensure quotes support profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Act as a direct point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries, urgent issues, and repair decisions.
- Respond quickly to immediate customer needs, ensuring clear communication and timely solutions.
- Work closely with dispatch and technicians to adjust manpower or schedules when urgent customer issues arise.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and dependable service delivery.
- Work closely with dispatch, project managers, and service coordinators to maintain alignment on daily operations.
- Communicate consistently with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity and satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Support planning for larger service projects and recurring maintenance programs.
- Maintain records of estimates, quoted repairs, service activities, and technician assignments.
- Provide regular updates on service workload, quoting backlog, and departmental needs.
- 7-10 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience supervising technicians or leading field operations preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with estimating tools, service software, and mechanical service workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
