Starting Pay: $42/hour
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Join Our Therapy Team at Garden City Health Care Center
Garden City Health Care Center, a skilled nursing facility in Modesto, CA, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. We're looking for a compassionate and skilled professional to support residents in reaching their highest level of independence and quality of life.
Whether you are an experienced COTA or just beginning your career, we offer a supportive and collaborative environment where your contributions are valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and ADL training
- Document therapy sessions and progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support discharge planning and caregiver education
- Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and facility standards
- Active California COTA license (required)
- Current CPR certification (required)
- Experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
- Starting wage of $42/hour
