A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Administrator to lead the administration, optimization, and evolution of its enterprise server infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining the performance, security, scalability, and availability of critical on-premises and cloud-based systems across a hybrid IT environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud technologies. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource, providing architectural guidance, leading infrastructure projects, mentoring junior staff, and resolving complex technical challenges that impact business operations.

Please note: This position requires additional support during the organization's peak operational season, including the potential to work up to six days per week from mid-July through late October; and is fully onsite.

• Lead the administration and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows Server and Linux server environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available VMware virtual infrastructure solutions.
• Manage server hardware, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and operating system upgrades.
• Administer and optimize Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management services.
• Architect and support hybrid cloud environments within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
• Maintain enterprise backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection strategies.
• Monitor server performance, capacity planning, patch management, and infrastructure health using industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain server security controls, vulnerability remediation efforts, MFA, privileged access management, and compliance initiatives.
• Provide Tier III infrastructure support for complex server, virtualization, authentication, and cloud-related incidents.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Support storage technologies, SAN/NAS environments, and enterprise backup platforms.
• Develop automation solutions utilizing Power Shell and other scripting technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system standards, configuration baselines, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Lead infrastructure modernization projects, technology refresh initiatives, and cloud migration efforts.
• Collaborate with network, security, application, and business teams to ensure infrastructure alignment with organizational goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance performance, security, availability, and scalability.
• Mentor junior administrators and serve as a technical escalation point for the IT team.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers to support infrastructure operations and strategic projects.
