Location Status:
Work will be primarily performed at a designated field worksite location based out of a central Race Communications worksite. Occasional travel and work from other Race offices or other off-site locations may be required.

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 USD per year

Work Schedule:

5 days x 8 hours

Position

Impact

The Field Operations Manager will lead and oversee our dynamic field operations team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing field service activities, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your leadership, technical expertise, and strategic mindset will drive field operations to achieve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Valid CA driver s license required
  • Spanish bilingual skills desirable
  • Bachelor s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent education in a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in field operations management, preferably in the telecom industry
  • Strong knowledge of field operations best practices, with experience overseeing and optimizing field operations software and tools
  • Experience analyzing operational data and performance metrics using reporting tools such as Tableau or Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and practices, with responsibility for enforcing compliance
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support 24/7 operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)
  • Proficiency in Spanish language is a plus
Skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and teleconferencing tools
  • Functional use of common office equipment and software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    Lead and mentor a team of field technicians and supervisors; foster a positive work culture and professional growth
  • Performance Management:
    Set objectives, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback
  • Collaboration:

    Work with HR on recruitment to build a diverse field operations team
  • Field Operations Strategy and Planning:
    Develop and implement field operations strategies; plan and optimize schedules; monitor processes and implement best practices
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; conduct audits and corrective actions
  • Technical Support and Expertise:
    Provide guidance to technicians; stay updated on telecom technologies
  • Customer Relations:
    Coordinate with Customer Support and Sales; strive to exceed customer expectations
  • Budget Management:
    Develop and manage the field operations budget; monitor expenses and seek cost-saving opportunities
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    Generate reports on performance; use data to drive decisions
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Travel:
    Maintain vehicles; travel to various locations; may require overtime or on-call responsibilities
  • Safety Awareness and Compliance:
    Identify hazards, report concerns, complete safety planning tools and paperwork
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Oversee policy adherence, training, compliance, performance management, payroll support, and team leadership
