Forklift Operator US - 2nd Shift

Essential Job Functions

• Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
• Maintain food quality and safety standards per Refresco, customer, and governing bodies such as SQF.
• Load and unload raw materials from incoming trucks, validate quantities using Blind Count Sheets or SAP transactions performed on forklift computer.
• Use SAP database through Vehicle Mounted Units (VMUs) installed on forklifts.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) in a high‑paced environment; forklift‑certified and in‑house.
• Supply raw materials to production lines as required.
• Perform pre‑trip forklift inspections and maintain forklift battery or propane tank operations.
• Execute additional driving activities as directed by leadership.
• Clean and maintain work areas throughout the shift.
• Represent the company positively at all times.
• May operate production machinery.

• Read and write job instructions in the required language(s).
• Basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrate operation of powered industrial trucks and forklift certification from an approved Refresco trainer.
• Problem‑solving: quickly identify and resolve operational issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management software for inventory and logistics tracking.
• Basic computer skills for operating production software and logging data.
• Analyze data and process parameters to optimize production.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnight, holidays; overtime as needed.
• Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts; requires hearing protection and may involve hot or cold temperatures.

• 0% travel anticipated.

• Stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.; lift minimum of 5 lbs.
• Carry heavy loads.
• Walk throughout shift.
• Drive forklift.
• Climb stairs or ladders; maintain balance.
• Visual/sensory: moderate attention with one or two senses.
• Coordination and dexterity: excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Mental stress: pressure from deadlines, quotas, accuracy demands.
