Maintenance Technician III - 3rd shift

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
• Maintain food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
• Complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.
• Act as initial responder when a line stops producing and ensure that the appropriate mechanical help is on-site to correct problems quickly using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems, minimizing manufacturing downtime and completing all required paperwork in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
• Observe and test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
• Support the facility’s food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.
• Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Work flexible hours if needed.

• Work independently under own supervision.

• Four (4) plus years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Candidate must complete a Mechanical/Electrical Skills and Aptitude Assessment.

• Continuous standing or walking; regular lifting/handling of moderate weight.
• Regular need for visual/sensory attention with one or two senses at a time.
• Repetitive work environment.
• Significant mental stress from deadlines, production quotas, and accuracy demands.

• May require minimal travel for training.

• Stand or sit for extended periods.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Carry weight and lift equipment occasionally.
• Walk and drive occasionally.
• Climb stairs or ladders or balance occasionally.

Pay Range: $30.12 – $41.42 per hour (depending on education and experience), plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses based on company objectives.
