Laser Operator

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating advanced laser machinery according to the specifications outlined in work orders. You will play a key role in reviewing job schedules and executing plans within the scheduled production time. Documentation of work will be completed via our shop floor computer system.

Responsibilities:

• Operate laser machine and examine products for quality, making necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on cutter machines, including cleaning scrap trays and filters.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Assist in other finishing operations as needed.

Essential

Skills:

• Skilled in laser cutting of sheet metal to form parts to specifications.
• Experience in operating advanced laser and machine operation equipment.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints to ensure parts are cut accurately.
• Proficient in inspection and troubleshooting of laser machinery.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as rulers and tape measures.
• Strong data entry and written/verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Modesto, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
