The employee works on site at the processing facility where produce (vegetables) are prepared for shipment on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise, assist, and develop employees to achieve desired department outcomes
- Direct, teach, and supervise the production group during the workday and reviews each line process to ensure proper department procedures are followed
- Supervise and teach employees how to place product on the processing line
- Supervise employees by observing and inspecting the product on the belt to remove or alter the damaged product or foreign product.
- Supervise that employees sort, group, clean, wash, and/or package product for specific orders and in specific containers/boxes according to the company's quality standards.
- Supervise employees preparing product according to each specification to be packed in cardboard boxes, or containers. The process repeats itself.
- Supervise employees folding and assembling boxes;
The boxes are then placed in the box packing area - Supervise employees Lifting, transporting, and palletizing boxes of finished product on pallets
- Learn how to identify the quality and appearance of vegetables and notify employees of specification changes by order
- Responsible for the cleaning and organization of the immediate work area. The employee is responsible for immediately removing any safety hazards around the work area, e.g., debris, trash, excess mud, etc. through the use of hands, shovel, or other tools
- Oversee product quality control in all assigned areas and perform additional production tasks as needed and required.
- Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes contradictory deadlines.
- You must, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.

- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulations

- Each employee is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to the Company's Food Safety Management System Policy(s) and all procedures, Codes of Practice, etc. outlined by management.
- All employees undertake careful training to ensure understanding and capability in all facets of the Company's Food Safety Management System (Good Agricultural Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, etc.).
- Each employee will receive Safety/Food Safety training on an ongoing basis.
- All employees must follow personal practices to prevent contamination of our product.
Any shift, any day of the week as assigned. Overtime as needed with or without the above notice.
Qualifications- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and supervisors.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a group.
The employee must be able to speak simple sentences and take simple instructions. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Reasoning AbilityThe employee must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out the instructions given.
Supervision ReceivedWork under the direct supervision and direction of the supervisor assigned to each department.
Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly stand on cement for more than 80% of the daily tasks of the job, walk and listen. The employee is constantly required to eat vegetables or dodge with both hands and all fingers, and reach out with the controls and arms, objects and tools.
- The employee must regularly lift 10 pounds and occasionally 65 pounds.
- The ability to bend, bend, kneel, climb and walk on cement and walk over obstacles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- When performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to water, cold, and or humid conditions and high heat temperature.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles such as dust.
