The Vascular Access RN is accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute care setting. This includes direct patient care, patient/family education, and the transition of care. The nurse will deliver holistic, individualized care to all patients in an assigned area, developing, implementing, and coordinating a care plan that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

The role fosters collaborative relationships with patients, their families/support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communication. The Vascular Access RN adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to ensure an optimal patient experience.

• Perform assessments and deliver comprehensive care to patients in need of vascular access (PIV, Midline, and PICC line insertions).
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and families on vascular access care, treatment options, and post-procedure expectations.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and industry best practices.
• Advocate for patients and ensure their psychological, emotional, and physical well-being throughout their care journey.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 23:30)
