Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in California, requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Acute care ICU setting
• Every other Saturday and Sunday required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• 13-week contract
• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Develops and implements individualized care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Fosters collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely communication
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Minimal RTO will be approved; only 1 holiday RTO request will be considered

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• PALS required within 180 days of hire
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required within 180 days of hire
• NIHSS required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
