The Director of Obstetrics (OB) will join a 35-bed, critical-access, full-service hospital recognized as the region’s most comprehensive health system. The Nurse Director of Women’s Services will oversee a contemporary OB unit featuring six private, spacious birthing suites, each thoughtfully designed with family-friendly amenities for comfort and connection. Hotel-inspired features create a calm, supportive environment from admission through bonding. A dedicated, modern cesarean operating room with an adjacent recovery area supports seamless, safe surgical deliveries. Two well-positioned nurses’ stations promote efficient workflows, collaboration, and vigilant oversight.

Reporting to the CNO, the Director RN OB partners with compassionate L&D nurses, lactation consultants, OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, midwives, and ancillary teams reflective of the community’s diversity. This experienced OB nurse leader will direct day-to-day operations across triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and the newborn nursery with unwavering focus on safety and service. The Obstetrics Nursing Director will lead performance improvement, perinatal quality indicators, regulatory and survey readiness, and evidence-based standards.

Additional responsibilities include budgeting, staffing, mentoring, and shared governance to cultivate engagement, professional growth, and retention. The Director of Women’s Services will also strengthen physician alignment, care coordination, readiness drills, and technology enablement to streamline flow and elevate outcomes.
