Position: Pre Op PACU RN - FT

Job Summary

Pre-Op/PACU RN (Full Time) located in Modesto, CA. Sylvan Surgery Center is a state‑of‑the‑art ambulatory surgery center. The RN Pre‑op/PACU provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The role supports perioperative services for all patient populations and reports to the Manager of Peri‑Operative Services.

Hourly Wage Range: $50.00 to $55.00 (based on years of experience)

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective, patient–family centered care in the perioperative setting.
  • Implement the nursing process and the medical plan of care.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and manage surgical patients from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Diagnose, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors quickly.
  • Teach patients, families, and staff as required.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the care team.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current California Nursing License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum two years experience in Pre‑Op/PACU; ambulatory surgical experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative patient management.
  • Excellent teaching, communication, organization, and customer‑service skills.
  • Demonstrated strong professional and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
  • Demonstrated accountability, creativity, innovation, and receptiveness to change.
  • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology.
