Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.
Gurnick Academy is currently seeking Didactic Nursing Instructors for the Vocational Nursing program at our Modesto Campus, Part-time positions available.
Hourly Pay Range (Part-Time): $35-45/hr

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes in a Didactic Setting In Person at the Modesto Campus for our Vocational Nursing program.
- Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
- Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in the organization of the program and implementation of the program standards.
- Maintain continuous medical education knowledge and ensure facility compliance with continuous medical education requirements.
- The BVNPT requires a Bachelor’s degree for LVN and RN candidates.
- An instructor in a vocational nursing program shall be or be currently attending a course offered by an approved school in teaching and shall meet the requirements of:
Subsection A or B, below: - (A) Registered Nurse:
- Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse; and
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school or a valid teaching credential or have completed a minimum of one year full-time teaching experience in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California; and
- Have a minimum of three years experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years.
- (B) Licensed Vocational Nurse:
- Hold a current California active license as a Vocational Nurse; and
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school or a valid teaching credential or have completed a minimum of one year full-time teaching experience in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California; and
- Have a minimum of three years experience as a vocational nurse within the last five years.
