Emergency Room registered nurses (RN) provide care for patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions.

• Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Maintain knowledge of general and specific health issues related to urgent medical conditions.
• Apply triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
