Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in the Labor and Delivery unit.
The position involves caring for neonates and adults.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1.The unit supports various interdisciplinary services including IV teams and respiratory services.
Nurses will assist with high-risk deliveries and maintain patient safety during labor and delivery.
They will use external and internal fetal monitoring.
Responsibilities include providing postpartum care and supporting breastfeeding initiatives.
Nurses will perform sterile vaginal exams and manage IV infusions.
They will participate in neonatal resuscitation when necessary.
The RN will also assist with cesarean sections and multiple gestation deliveries.
Documentation and patient charting are essential responsibilities.
Ideal candidates should have a strong foundation in labor and delivery practices.
