Registered Nurse

  36 hours per week; 12‑hour shifts on a rotating schedule

• Reporting:
  Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services (indirect reporting to the C.N.O.; coordinated through an RN Charge Nurse)
• Patient base: general diagnostic, special procedures, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, interventional radiology and MRI

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in interventional radiology and related diagnostic units
• Perform assessments, communication, teaching, leadership and management functions
• Ensure patient privacy and dignity
• Coordinate care with interventional radiology staff and the RN Charge Nurse
• Fulfill on‑call and weekend requirements as needed

• Up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus (not available to internal applicants)

• Minimum of 2‑3 years experience, preferably in Critical Care, Radiology, or Cardiology
• Licensed Registered Nurse in California
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Basic Dysrhythmia course

• Frequent standing/walking
• Lift, position and push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Perform tasks requiring reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and manual dexterity
• Maintain adequate vocal pitch and volume; rapid movement capability
• Vision: normal vision with or without corrective lenses

• Regular exposure to contagious and blood‑borne diseases
• Unpredictable situations and emergency/crisis scenarios
• Exposure to unpleasant elements, injuries, illness and irregular hours
• Increased stress from multiple calls and inquiries
• Occasional radiation hazard exposure and radio‑active substances
