, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Forklift Technician/Mechanic in Modesto, CA. The Forklift Technician/Mechanic is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light to heavy-duty fleet vehicles, trailers, and various equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. REQUIRED mechanic experience repairing forklifts.
Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday. Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Pay: $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr DOE.

- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
- At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance, or an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Experience servicing and repairing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment - highly desired
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
- Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing job duties
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
- Access to all areas of the equipment or vehicle to perform maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
