Technician - Level 1

Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, primarily aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Maintain tools of trade and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide documentation and reports as required.
• Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operations management.

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1 to 3 years of technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location.
• Experience as a shop mechanic, mechanic, technician, service foreman, service manager, or related roles is acceptable.

Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more are required. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors as required.

Base pay range: $33.80 - $38.76 per hour, which may vary by location, education, training, and experience.
