Fire Sprinkler Technician

Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire sprinkler and suppression systems according to NFPA 25 and Title 19 requirements.

Conduct routine inspections and 5-year inspections of sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and associated fire protection equipment.

Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and service defective sprinkler system components including valves, water flow switches, tamper switches, fire pumps, and pump controllers.

Utilize hand tools, testing equipment, and shop tools to complete sprinkler system service and repair tasks.

Prepare detailed inspection reports, service documentation, and required work records.

Maintain accountability for assigned parts, tools, equipment, and materials.

Perform emergency service calls and participate in after-hours on-call rotations as required.

Operate and maintain company service vehicles safely and responsibly.

Follow all safety, environmental, and workplace safety standards.

Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members on service assignments.

Travel within the assigned region and occasionally complete overnight stays when required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2+ years of experience servicing fire sprinkler systems.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NFPA 25 inspections and 5-year sprinkler inspections.

Fire Sprinkler Fitter Card preferred but not required.

Experience with wet systems, dry systems, pre-action systems, deluge systems, and fire pumps preferred.

Familiarity with applicable fire protection codes and building regulations.

Ability to read and complete inspection reports and service documentation.

Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various field environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
