We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to support cutting-edge autonomous drone delivery operations. In this role, you'll troubleshoot advanced drone systems, investigate technical issues in the field, and work directly with engineering and operations teams to improve reliability, safety, and performance. WhatYou'll Do
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on drone systems and support equipment
- Investigate system performance trends and identify root causes of operational issues
- Support the launch of new drone delivery sites, including equipment setup and system validation
- Perform flight checks and operational testing to ensure mission readiness
- Partner with engineering teams to communicate field findings and drive product improvements
- Document troubleshooting activities, corrective actions, and technical recommendations
- Use data-driven analysis to improve system reliability and reduce downtime
- Support urgent operational issues and help keep drone delivery services running safely and efficiently
- Travel up to 30% to support site deployments and field operations
- Experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software-based systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with tools, maintenance, assembly, and repair work
- Experience with scripting, automation, or diagnostic software tools
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Aviation, aerospace, UAV, or drone industry experience
- Field service or maintenance experience supporting complex equipment
- Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
- Drone maintenance, flight operations, or reliability engineering experience
This is an on-site position in Modesto, CA, supporting active commercial drone operations. You'll work directly with advanced aircraft systems, ground support equipment, and operational teams in a fast-moving environment where innovation, safety, and reliability are critical.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Modesto, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
