Social Services Assistant

This is a full-time role for a Social Services Assistant based on-site in Modesto, CA. The position involves providing support to clients in accessing and utilizing social services effectively. Day-to-day tasks include assisting clients with resources, coordinating services, offering emotional support, and working closely with other social services professionals. The role also requires maintaining accurate records and developing plans to address client needs.

• Strong skills in Social Work and Social Services to provide effective support and resources to clients
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication Skills to engage with clients and collaborate with other professionals
• Active Listening abilities to understand and address the needs and concerns of clients
• Organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and program coordination
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping others
• Familiarity with local and state social services programs is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
