- Assist Case Managers with essential paperwork and documentation completion and gathering process for various immigration documents, and background screenings;
- Provide case management services, to include social work, counseling and treatment of clients, and coordinate community referrals;
- Assist Case Managers with youth and sponsors assessments;
- Assist Case Managers in maintaining client contact for case follow-up or intervention, as requested;
- Assist Case Managers in maintaining contact with clients and foster families during a Case Manager’s absence to ensure coverage of all program cases;
- Accompany youth to immigration hearings or procedures, as requested;
- Schedule and attend medical, dental and legal appointments, as needed;
- Collaboratively work with direct supervisor to schedule and prioritize work duties;
- Attend training as required by supervisor;
- Input case notes and documentation within the UC Portal in a timely manner based on guidelines and procedures set forth;
- Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services;
- Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
- May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s level degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field of study from an accredited college;
- Bilingual:
English and Spanish with demonstrated proficiency both verbally and written; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Exhibit an ability to apply the principles of logic and critical thinking with problem solving;
- Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service;
- Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks;
- Exercise a high level of confidentiality;
- Work well under pressure and adaptable to change;
- Must be able to pass required medical examinations and have the physical ability to fulfill the essential job functions, including physical restraints of a resident;
- Successfully pass an annual TB test and document preference to receive or decline Hepatitis immunization;
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
- Exhibit integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care;
- Possess the relevant experience and/or qualifications to work with these clients and clients with special needs; and be properly trained and licensed, as necessary;
