Safety Trainer

Transdev in Modesto, CA is hiring a Safety Trainer to facilitate classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package: minimum $33.50 per hour
• Vacation: 1 week
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 9 days (8 standard, 1 floating)

• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new drivers
• Maintain required training documentation and ensure compliance with state certification, company policies, and district, state & federal requirements
• Perform additional safety program responsibilities such as accident investigation, forms compliance, and safety meetings
• Other duties as required

• Valid Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsements for a minimum of 2 years
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
• 1 to 3 years of transportation and safety experience
• Knowledge of federal and state safety rules and regulations
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
• Employee will spend long periods sitting, typing or looking at a computer screen
• Work environment will be a combination of indoors and outdoors
