Forklift Operator – Cold Storage Facility in Modesto

Pay: $19.00/hour.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Hire Up Staffing Services is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a reliable team with long-term potential at a cold storage warehouse in Modesto.

• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, railcars, trucks, and docks.
• Utilize clamp, slip sheet, high reach, and railcar forklifts.
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including staying within marked walkways.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in a 38°F cold storage environment.
• Report any concerns or unsafe conditions immediately.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of proven experience with forklift operations, especially clamp, slip, and railcar equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in cold storage (38°F) – dress appropriately for winter-like conditions (must basically have snow attire to wear everyday).
• Clean driving record may be required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• High attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances accurately.
