Non-Commercial Vehicle Operator- Transportation Department

• Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate
• Valid California Driver’s License – Class C
• Valid medical examiner’s certificate issued in accordance with the motor carrier safety regulations of the Department of Motor Vehicles
• Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate
• Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) workdays of offer of employment
• Upon Hire – Successful completion of a Basic Bus Driver Education Course (10 classroom hours) provided by Modesto City Schools
• Successful completion of ten (10) hour behind-the-wheel Basic Driver Education Course provided by Modesto City Schools
