Our client is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Operations Lead who loves getting into the details and helping a growing company stay on top of their order‑to‑cash flow. This is a full‑time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio.
This is with a small, family‑owned business in the health food space. The position will report directly to the Owner and be a sort of "right hand" to them and work closely with operations as well.
Location: Mokena, IL (On‑site, 5 days per week)

- Day‑to‑day ownership of order processing and invoicing within Quick Books
- Review, correction, and prevention of invoicing and posting errors
- Cleanup and ongoing maintenance of Quick Books workflows related to sales and billing
- Close coordination with operations, warehouse, and leadership to ensure accurate order‑to‑cash flow
- Development and enforcement of basic process controls to reduce rework and errors
- Support of the existing accountant who handles journal entries, month‑end close, and annual close
- Acting as the primary point of accountability for accounting accuracy tied to orders and invoicing
- Strong hands‑on experience working inside Quick Books (QBO strongly preferred)
- Background in accounting operations, billing, invoicing, or order‑to‑cash processes
- Extremely high attention to detail and comfort fixing transactional errors
- Ability to self‑manage and bring structure to an environment that needs better process discipline
- Comfort working in a warehouse‑based, blue‑collar environment (this is not a corporate office)
- Willingness to be on‑site every day and stay close to daily activity
- Experience in inventory‑heavy, distribution, food, or warehouse‑driven businesses
- Prior exposure to order processing tied directly to physical product movement
- Interest in health, wellness, or natural food products
- Experience working in a small, family‑owned or entrepreneurial company
