Collections Specialist

We are looking for a dependable Collections Specialist to join our team in Mokena, Illinois in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent position. This role is well suited for someone who is confident communicating with customers, organized in handling account information, and comfortable balancing collections work with general administrative support. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule of 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and work toward timely resolution of outstanding accounts.

• Maintain accurate account records by entering payment updates, collection notes, and related information into the company's proprietary software.

• Review open balances for both commercial and consumer accounts to support effective follow-up efforts.

• Communicate professionally by phone to discuss billing concerns, payment arrangements, and account status.

• Perform administrative support tasks that help keep collection activities organized and current.

• Monitor collection activity and document all interactions clearly to support ongoing account management.

The salary range for this position is $28/hr. to $30/hr benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
