Mental Health Nursing Adjunct Instructor (Part-Time)

Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part‑Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program. These teaching roles allow you to continue working in the field while exploring academia and engaging the next generation of nurses.

• Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned, which may be on campus or at off‑site clinical partner locations.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques, teaching and modeling appropriate learning skills and creating an environment conducive to learning for a diverse student population.
• Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student‑centered learning, including the use of live classroom tools to hold synchronous learning sessions with students.

• Part‑time, flexible campus and clinical‑based scheduling generally consisting of 10‑15 hours per week per course.
• Competitive hourly rates based on course type and schedule; rates are confirmed during the hiring process.

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Documented experience in Mental Health roles.
• 1‑year clinical experience as an RN required; 2+ years preferred.
• Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered.
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution.
• Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, and applicable faculty immunization documentation.
• Compliance with all requirements set by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and states in which the campuses operate.

Rasmussen University offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $38.00 to $60.00 per hour, with pay based on the level of responsibilities, location, experience, and other factors.
