Special Education Teacher | Mokena, Illinois

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in Illinois
• Experience in a self-contained classroom setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and adaptive teaching strategies
• Ability to create an inclusive environment supporting various learning needs and styles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and advocacy for students with special needs

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet individualized educational goals
• Adapt curriculum resources to address diverse learning abilities and behavioral requirements
• Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support personnel to implement student IEPs
• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment promoting student growth and independence
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
