Your Role at Baxter

The Field Service Technician I performs product readiness activities for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer‑owned medical products. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non‑Baxter products.

• The field service team works within hospital and service setting environments to repair medical devices.
• Baxter offers dental, medical, and vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and more.

• Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Troubleshoot devices and repair malfunctioning components.
• Use appropriate tools for required adjustments and repairs.
• Provide on‑call coverage up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, with potential customer account visits.
• Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Technical or trade school training.
• DOT physical card (assistance provided).
• Experience with FDA regulated products.
• Experience in customer service.

• Must wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. All equipment is provided.
• Frequently work in environments where biohazards could be present (e.g. hospitals, service centers, and depots).

Salary Range: $43,200 - $59,400.
