Responsibilities
- Focus on performing the front-end of the power service world by performing power studies. Provide scheduled studies to facilities and assist in studies as equipment or changes to a facility take place.
- Arc Flash
- Coordination
- Load Flow
- Harmonics
- Power Factor
- Perform updated breaker and relay settings. Developing relay settings files for modern relays.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in power system design, protection, and operation.
- Review engineering final project reports, make notes and edits to provide a formal finished product.
- Perform site walk-throughs with sales team. Provide technical knowledge and establish technical rapport with customer.
- Network within the Chicagoland Electrical communities to grow our technical respect.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification preferred or strong desire to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- 0–5 years of experience in power systems, electrical engineering, or industrial electrical environments preferred
- Understanding of power system studies including Arc Flash, Short Circuit, Coordination, Load Flow, Harmonics, and Power Factor analysis
