Quality Control Technician
Surestaff is immediately hiring for a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician for a company in Mokena, IL. A successful Quality Control Technician should have excellent troubleshooting skills, have experience inspecting product in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment, and be able to ensure that product consistently meets quality standards and guidelines. Surestaff is invested in their team members! Available shifts: 1st Shift and 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3 to 6 days per week, including weekends.
Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:Identify, document, and implement corrective actions to address quality issues. Maintain detailed documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance. Collaborate with the quality control supervisor on product specifications and production issues. Conduct calibrations of measurements and testing equipment and perform internal audits professionally. Verify the proper functioning of measuring instruments and coordinate repairs when necessary. Approve finished products for shipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Monitor raw material to prevent the use of expired ingredients. Remove defective products during production to prevent customer issues. Prepare and submit reports on quality metrics, inspections, and audits.
1+ years’ experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspections, or a similar role. 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., BRC, SQF) and legislation. Experience with quality systems and controls.
