Job Overview

General Merchandise Clerk – entry level team member responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing product knowledge, efficient service, and maintaining a friendly attitude while performing a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising.

This position requires one overnight shift during the week on Tuesday. Only apply if you can fulfill the scheduling requirement.

• Build rapport with customers.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Help customers with any questions they may have; if unable to answer, direct them to another team member.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Work with various departments, including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communication skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Process-driven and able to follow procedures efficiently.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.

Step pay plan starting between $15.25 and $16.98 per hour, with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or exceed the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
