Pay: $16 - $18 Hourly;
Up to 30 Hours Per Week
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm / 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Summary:
The Parts Driver is responsible for the timely, safe, and accurate delivery of parts orders to our division’s locations using a company-provided vehicle without incident. We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated and has a good attitude. This role is crucial in supporting the business, in transporting parts to various regions and areas based on needs.
- Frequent daily trips between designated locations in a company vehicle
- Loading and unloading of vehicles using proper lifting techniques
- Occasional forklift operation at various locations, always keeping safety in mind
- Cleaning and maintenance of company vehicle
- Organize delivery for parts and supply runs
- Load delivery vehicle with merchandise
- Deliver parts to assigned locations
- Maintain company vehicle according to guidelines
- Process all paperwork in a timely accurate manner
- Complete the daily vehicle maintenance
- Keep delivery vehicle clean and fueled when completing shift
- Interacting with Ozinga coworkers and external customers, consistently representing the Ozinga brand
- Maintaining daily log and assisting with miscellaneous tasks and runs as assigned by Fleet Department
- Safely remain in contact with department via cell phone
- Ask mechanics for return of wrong parts, core returns and warranty parts
- Advise supervisor of any vehicle problems
- Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
- This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (minimum age of 18 required)
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record in accordance with company policy
- Parts knowledge and driving experience preferred; willing to train exceptional candidate
- Ability to communicate well verbally and written
- Able to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Excellent Defensive Driving Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent navigation skills
- Ability to operate various sized vehicles
- Bilingual preferred; but not required
- Operates within company vehicle, traveling to company properties when needed
- Noise level is usually moderate, but can be high and requires personal hearing protection on occasion at job sites, plants, and laboratories
- Occasional usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
- Local travel required
- Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to maneuver in and around our plants, yards, and jobsites as necessary
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift at least 50 – 100 pounds
