Role Description

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial landscape construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and field teams to ensure that all aspects of each project are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

    Assist project managers in the planning and execution of landscape construction projects, including submittals, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Communication:

  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, safety documentation, change orders, RFIs, submittals, invoices, punch lists, COI’s, and permits. Prepare regular progress reports for clients and management.
  • Procurement & Scheduling:
    Support the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery. Assist in managing project schedules to ensure milestones are met.
  • Cost Control:
    Help track project budgets and expenditures. Flag potential cost overruns and assist in implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Quality Control:
    Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Coordinate site visits and inspections.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines, quality, or costs. Coordinate with team members to find solutions to any challenges.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Assist in ensuring that all projects adhere to local regulations, industry standards, and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
  • Experience:

    2+ years of experience in project coordination or construction management, ideally within the landscape or commercial construction industry (preferred, but not required).
  • Skills:

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills;
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
    Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
    Knowledge of commercial landscape construction processes, materials, and equipment (preferred);
    Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
  • Certifications:

    OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (preferred but not required).
Key Attributes
  • Detail-Oriented:
    Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Problem Solver:
    Ability to quickly identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Team Player:
    Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with diverse teams.
  • Proactive:
    Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative in resolving challenges.
