Position: Machine Operator I - Days

Quanex is looking for Machine Operator to join our team located in Molalla, Oregon!

In this role, you will work with mechanical parts and machines in a dusty environment. Any hazardous chemical exposure is specifically defined on accessible safety data sheets. Balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, repetitive motions are all part of the Machine Operator role.

What’s attractive about this opportunity:
  • Pay: $17.50 - $21.89 an hour, based on experience
  • Day Shift
What Success Looks Like:
  • Sets-up, operates, and verifies work on assigned machine that meets customer specification, quality requirements, and production standards.
  • Assists in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
  • Observes closely the operation of tools and machinery.
  • Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 6 months of related machine operating experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
