Associate Veterinarian

Molalla River Veterinary Center is looking for an associate veterinarian to join our growing, privately owned small-animal practice in Molalla, Oregon.

We are an independent, single-doctor practice that believes good medicine doesn't have to look the same for every patient or every family. We practice individualized, integrative, spectrum-of-care medicine with a strong emphasis on low-stress handling, client communication, and quality of life.

Our caseload is varied and includes preventive care, internal medicine, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, chronic pain management, and senior care. I have a particular interest in integrative and multimodal approaches to pain and mobility, nutrition, and finding practical ways to improve quality of life. We also work closely with local specialists and other veterinary professionals when our patients need additional expertise.

We are looking for another veterinarian who enjoys thinking through cases and wants the freedom to practice medicine. You do not need to practice exactly as I do, and previous integrative medicine experience is not required. In fact, I'd love for another doctor to bring their own interests to the practice. Whether you love surgery, dentistry, ultrasound, behavior, rehabilitation, internal medicine, or something completely different, there is room to develop those interests here.

We are open to a flexible 3-4 day workweek with no weekends. Appointments are generally 30 minutes because I believe doctors need enough time to examine the patient, talk with the client, and think. Work-life balance matters, and I want this to be a sustainable career - not a job that consumes your life.

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Current Oregon veterinary license, or ability to obtain Oregon licensure
• DEA registration, or ability to obtain as required for the position

• General practice experience is preferred but not required. Experience or interest in surgery, dentistry, pain management, rehabilitation, nutrition, ultrasound, or other areas is welcomed. We are happy to support the right veterinarian in developing their individual clinical interests.
