EMPLOYMENT SUMMARY
EMS/Paramedic Instructor (temporary, two‑term, full‑time) – Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters at Quad Cities Campus – Moline, IL.
In‑person position requiring supervision of clinical rotations. Position begins 8/17/26 to support the upcoming Fall semester.
DUTIESFaculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; evaluating student performance; securing and maintaining instructional materials essential to classroom presentations.
QUALIFICATIONSAssociate degree from an accredited institution of higher education required (Bachelor’s degree preferred and would qualify the candidate for Program Director). Must hold a current Illinois healthcare license or certification appropriate to the instructional assignment (e.g., EMT, Advanced
EMT, Paramedic, Pre‑hospital Registered Nurse or other relevant credential) and maintain good standing with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Minimum of two years of experience in pre‑hospital emergency medical services required.
Teaching or instructional experience sufficient to deliver course content, facilitate skills training, and evaluate student performance required.
Must obtain Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) EMS Lead Instructor licensure within one year of employment. Completion of the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) Level I Instructor Course may satisfy eligibility requirements for licensure.
Effective oral English proficiency sufficient for classroom instruction and student interaction required.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILSFull‑time faculty have a base contract of 9 months, paid over a 12‑month year. Base load is 30 equivalent hours per academic year. Starting salary commensurate with education and experience.
