Adjunct Faculty - Surgical Technology Instructor- Clinical​/lab

Black Hawk College seeks a part‑time/adjunct instructor to join the Health & Human Services Department to teach Clinical & Lab Surgical Technology courses.

Faculty members are expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; developing and executing appropriate methods of evaluating students’ performance; and securing and maintaining the equipment and instructional materials essential to the presentation of classroom material.

• Possess Surgical Technology certification from the NBSTSA.
• A minimum total of two years of experience in the medical‑surgical area in an operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology (or a combination) within the past five years.

• Less than a Master’s Degree: $693.36 per equivalent hour
• Master’s Degree: $808.92 per equivalent hour
• Doctorate: $866.70 per equivalent hour

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
