Job Overview
Black Hawk College seeks a part‑time adjunct History Instructor teaching both in‑person and online courses. The position begins in the fall semester, August 2025.
Responsibilities- Prepare syllabi and course materials to encourage learning.
- Develop and deliver lectures, discussions, and other activities to enhance student educational experience.
- Implement appropriate methods to evaluate student performance.
- Secure, maintain, and manage equipment and instructional materials necessary for classroom instruction.
- Master’s degree (M.A. or M.S.) in history required.
- College‑level experience teaching introductory history courses preferred.
- Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.
- Less than a Master’s Degree: $717.63 per equivalent hour
- Master’s Degree: $837.23 per equivalent hour
- Doctorate: $897.03 per equivalent hour
