Adjunct Faculty - Applied Music Instructor; Saxophone

Black Hawk College seeks Adjunct Faculty/Part-time Instructor for Applied Music (Saxophone).

Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience, devising and implementing methods for evaluating students' performance, and securing and maintaining the equipment and instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.

• Prepare appropriate syllabi for courses.
• Develop lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the student educational experience.
• Devise and implement methods for evaluating student performance.
• Secure and maintain equipment and instructional materials essential to classroom instruction.

• Master of Music or Master of Arts in Music degree required.
• Doctorate in Music degree desired.
• College teaching experience preferred.
• Experience directing choral or instrumental ensembles may be required depending on the position.
• Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
