Position Title: Learning and Communications Specialist

Location: Onsite – Moline, IL

Pay Rate: $29/hour

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Visa Sponsorship: Not available now or in the near future

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs for John Deere employees, channel partners, and customers, focusing on product features, applications, system technologies, and professional skills.
• Adapt and develop training content and materials for various audiences, including marketing, technical, management, and sales.
• Construct and maintain training aids, simulations, classroom exercises, and practice activities.
• Administer training events, including enrollment, rosters, and evaluations, and share outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate training effectiveness during and after delivery, updating materials and methods as needed.
• Conduct self-directed research to enhance subject matter expertise and instructional delivery.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Communications teams to ensure timely and relevant training content.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams and external partners regarding training content and delivery.
• Develop and execute communication plans to inform key audiences about projects, events, and business changes.
• Create strategic content using various media formats such as video, design, and print to enhance understanding and engagement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong grammar, persuasive writing, and content development skills.
• Knowledge of educational theory, curriculum development, and instructional best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Office 365; familiarity with Copilot is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
