Anthropology Adjunct Faculty Position

Black Hawk College is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the Anthropology department. The position is part-time and adjunct, with a salary range of $739.16 to $923.95 hourly. The job is located at the Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL.

The general information and responsibilities include providing appropriate classroom, clinical, or other instruction as assigned. The description of duties involves encouraging learning by preparing syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations to enhance the students' educational experience, developing and executing methods of evaluating students' performance, working with the library to maintain appropriate materials to the course(s), and developing, securing, and maintaining the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.

Education and experience required include an M.A. or M.S. in anthropology with academic preparation to instruct both anthropology and archaeology courses. Successful college level teaching experience is preferred. Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction is also required.
