Job OverviewWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer I to support our Modernization Team in Moline, IL. The role involves maintaining high contract engineering output, ensuring high standards of electrical engineering activities, developing standard electrical systems/packages for modernization, reviewing modernization orders for technical accuracy, and coordinating activities tied to customer‑driven changes.
Responsibilities- Maintain high contract engineering output and morale.
- Oversee processes to ensure efficient and profitable electrical engineering output.
- Develop standard electrical systems/packages for modernization of existing electrical challenges.
- Review modernization orders for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate activities tied to customer‑driven changes.
- Apply elevator code knowledge or learn requirements.
- Demonstrate strong time management and multi‑tasking skills.
- Communicate across supply chain, quality, and manufacturing disciplines.
- Work under general supervision; rely on experience and judgment to plan goals.
- Provide pre‑bid and other electrical engineering assistance to modernization support team project managers and branch sales personnel.
- Ensure technical solutions comply with codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Work with purchasing and vendors to procure components for special designs.
- Generate bills of material for manufacturing.
- 1+ year of professional electrical engineering experience (internships acceptable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
- Proficient in computer‑aided drafting and PC‑based systems.
- Ability to read, interpret and produce construction and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of drafting standards (e.g., electrical symbols, GD&T).
- Willingness to travel to elevator installations.
- Proficient in Computer‑Aided Drafting.
- Individual contributor experience in strategic and tactical work streams.
- Strong communication across cross‑functional disciplines.
- Mastery in area of specialization.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.

Annual base pay range: $83,000 – $108,885. Compensation will depend on individual qualifications and experience.
Variable Compensation: KONE annual bonus plan at 10% target incentive (50/50) based on company and individual goals.
