We're looking for a detail-oriented Consumer Underwriter to join our team! We are committed to providing exceptional financial services to our members and community. What You'll Do

As a Consumer Underwriter, you'll play an important role in reviewing consumer loan applications and making sound lending decisions while delivering an outstanding member experience.

Responsibilities include:

* Review, validate, and evaluate consumer loan applications received through all lending channels.

* Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to assess risk and make lending decisions within authorized approval limits.

* Request additional information when needed to ensure complete and accurate underwriting decisions.

* Build and maintain professional relationships with members, team members, and business partners.

* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Credit Union policies, regulations, and lending guidelines.

* Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate unique lending scenarios.

* Research unfamiliar underwriting situations and present well-supported recommendations and solutions to leadership.

What You'll Bring

* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Physical Requirements

* Sitting:
