Responsibilities- Accurately and thoroughly collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data in computer system.
Ensuresinformation source isappropriateand all required documentation are on file - Maintains knowledge and understanding of insurance verification and understanding of insurance plans
- Answers telephone calls promptly and accurately. Takes telephone messages and directs calls inan appropriate and professional manner
- Communicates effectively to provide appropriate educationregardingpatient financial obligations through POS and estimates.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives anddemonstratesinitiative to improve quality and customer services with a goal to exceed customer expectations.
- Maintain ability to perform roles associated with patientself serviceregistration processes
- Monitors andmaintainsmultiple work queues
- Refer patients who need financialassistancewith their clinic/hospital bills to a Financial Advocate
- Perform functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances
- Schedules walk in procedures andcollaborateswith central schedulingregardingother needs
Education:
- Requires minimally a high school diploma or GED
Experience:
- Prior customer service experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Hands only CPR
