Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Provide respiratory care to patients as prescribed by physicians
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures
• Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
